見た目はクラッシックで、中身は現代的なパワフルに走るポンティアック ファイアーバード プロ ツーリングです! We are selling our 1971 Pro Touring Pontiac Firebird. This car started life as a plain mint green base model Firebird. It was not a Formula or Trans Am. The body was straight and rust was minimal for a 40 year old car. We decided that it would be a great candidate for a Pro Touring conversion, I mean, how many of these 1970-1973 Firebirds do you see? Once the plan was laid out we started disassembly. When the car was down to the bare structure and frame we started the restoration and ordered parts. I laugh sometimes when someone will ask what year this car is and I tell them its a 2013 Firebird. The look on their face is priceless until I tell them that the car is basically brand new! We have over $45,000 in parts and paint for this car. The build took about 7 months in my two car garage, other than trips to the paint shop. I will list the highlights of this car below but you really have to see it in person. If you are looking for a true 1 of 1 classic you have just found it. Body All panels and doors removed. The car had lower quarters replaced back in the 90s so my painter stripped all the seams and filler to inspect the job. Once he was satisfied he resealed and smoothed the entire body section, removed the trim rivets from the doors, filled the emblem holes in the fenders and sanded the car until perfect. Our paint is a PPG 2010 Sunset Orange Pearl. This stuff is $1300 a gallon. 5 sided metal flakes give the car a unique look in the sun. The black stripes were painted on and the entire car was then covered is 6 coats of PPG clear. We wet sanded the car down to 5000 grit and then polished. Engine and Transmission The LS1 engine and T56 six speed transmission were pulled from the same 1999 Camaro SS which met an unfortunate end in a ditch. I stripped the motor down to the block and had all the hard parts dipped and checked. Cylinders were honed and valve seats polished. Crank was measured and polished. I rebuilt the entire engine and installed moly rings, Texas Speed MS3 cam, double roller chain, power plus polished intake, Z06 injectors, tall polished valve covers, Kwik Performance accessory drive kit, all new accessories, dynatech long tube polished headers and much more. The trans was inspected and serviced. I installed a SPEC stage two clutch and pressure plate. A new release bearing a clutch master were also installed. Interior The original dash pad, headliner, door panels, console and trim panels were refurbished to like new with TLC and SEM interior color matching. We installed 3/8 thick sound and heat padding under the new and correct loop carpet. The front seats are new SCAT Rallys and I installed new covers on the rear seats. The instrument panel was customized for the New Vintage custom electronic gauge pack and Vintage Air HVAC controller then painted with the body color. The console was modified to fit around the six speed shifter location and a custom shift boot was installed. I went with the retro look for the radio but it has new tech. It will connect to IPOD and MP3 USB devices. Suspension and Brakes I went with full tubular upper and lower control arms from CPP, QA1 adjustable coil overs and a 1.25 inch Addco sway bar in the front and new leaf springs, QA1 adjustable shocks and a 1 inch sway bar in the rear. The brake set is a Wilwood 13 inch modular rotor set with 6 piston calipers up front and 4 piston out back. I went with a CPP manual master cylinder and adjustable proportioning valve to apply the pressure. This car handles and stops like a dream! Misc We installed a full Flowmaster dual exhaust after I welded the entire front section, no leaks. All the body mounts were replaced. A new 1999 radiator and electric cooling fan set up keeps it cool. Wheels are a custom set from Lorenzo, 19x9.5 front and 20x10 rear. Tires are Nitto Invos 255 up front 275 rear. I didnt want to go wider because it would mess up the stance. I installed Halogen H4 headlights with LED halos and the remote relay system to protect the switch from the higher load. 10 bolt rearend was rebuilt with all new parts including
